It's the end of the long weekend. I wouldn't say it's a relaxing one but I had more time to do stuff around the house and with the kids.
I woke up to rain this morning and was glad I wasn't going anywhere. We haven't had rain for many days now and the plants needed a good shower. While tidying up the garden, I found some casualities at the far end of the patio where the hose is unable to reach.
Even the garden needs to be spring-cleaned every now and then. Sick plants must be treated or discarded before they infect the others and overgrown pots must be transferred to bigger containers.
I find gardening very therapeutic and enjoyable. I always end up with dirt under my nails and all over my limbs, but seeing the garden thrive under my care is very satisfying.
The kids and I visited some fish farms and lunched at their favourite restaurants over the weekend. We watched the National Day Parade at my parent's place yesterday. On the way home, we were hoping to catch the fireworks from the highway but by the time we drove by the parade grounds, the show was over. What a bummer.
Strangely I'm looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Maybe I've been eating too much over the weekend, I feel that I should get back to my bland diet quickly. I wish I had more time and discipline to start an exercise regime. I've been giving myself nothing but excuses but the waist-line doesn't lie, I ended up buying Shape Magazine instead. Oh well, at least I did something.

At least your wallet's thinner! ;-)
Sigh!
Imagine being poor and fat!
I woke up to rain this morning too. Rain, plenty of it. I heard the sheep "maa maa maa" outside whole night, and this morning mixed in the humid air was some really fresh cow dung, lovely :)
