It's such a popular event that for the couple of hours at the park, a sea of runners just kept streaming by.
We stretched our necks. We waited and waited.
Naturally Rusty got impatient and tried running away.
Only to end up being held securely in our arms.
We saw a runner dressed up as a snow man. He had a hand written sign "So Hot!" hanging on his back. At the 29km mark, it must have felt like a sauna inside.
The 'hot' lady running behind him was dressed more sensibly.
We spotted a runner dressed as a hula hula dancer.
And another dressed as a chicken. He must be getting fried in the heat.
There was a santarina amongst the runners too.
We were happiest to see best friend and hubby running towards us.
They stopped for a quick wipe down and some refreshment.
Then they posed for a photograph before continuing their journey - only 13km more to go.
It was also time to make our way home. As usual, there were plenty of distractions along the way.
Big dogs, small dogs... including a huge Old English Sheepdog!

I love that the weather in SQ is always good for marathons and other events! It's so COLD here, though pretty mild today. Glad you could cheer on your friends. Why don't you enter Rusty in the marathon next time? He won't be bored then... LOL!
WoW.. I'm so impressed that you managed to run a whole marathon.. and Rusty too! :)
Nice of you to go and support your friend! Yesterday was a really hot day for a marathon...
JY - I can empathise with you. I do not like the cold. Funny thing though, best friend and family are leaving for Osaka and Hokkaido today. One day after their marathon!
OKC - No lah. We watched only :-)
Wen-ai - It rained the whole saturday and we were worried about the weather on Sunday. It might be difficult to run in the rain.
