Our annual vacation begins in 2 days. Most of the planning has been done. YK pulled out of the trip because of exams and so forth. SK hasn't started packing. CH is completely overwhelmed with work. I'm beginning to feel half-hearted. If nobody is interested in the vacation, why even bother?
Ok, I'm venting here but come on, I'm not sending you all to a bootcamp. I could use the money to go on a trip with friends who are 100x more excited. I'm not planning any more trips.

So don't be deceived into thinking they are too cool about the vacation. I suspect that they will be as excited as little puppies at the airport, or earlier.

Before our trip to Europe, I asked my husband how he felt about it and whether he was looking forward to it.
The very disappointing answer that I got from him was, "OK, normal."
Perhaps it is really a male thing. When I probed, he said that he was concerned about whether everything would go smoothly, hence all the worrying.
I hope you all have a good vacation nonetheless.

Ash - Sometimes when we are too efficient, we get taken for granted. Put them in charge of planning then they'll realise how much effort goes into it.
Ash - We're going to Western Australia. Though we've been there before, this time we're covering the wine region of Margaret River followed by Scarborough Beach. Away from the city and crowd!
