It's funny how CH and I were at the same mall at the same time yesterday afternoon but we didn't even know it until we got home. Alas, we could have gone for a cup of coffee together!
You see, while we've been together for the last 4 years, we lead rather separate lives. For a start, we don't live under the same roof. We meet once or twice a week and go on occasional vacations together. We don't chat on the phone but thanks to modern technology, we stay in touch via email and say our goodnights via SMS before hitting the sack every night.
The best part is, we don't mind it at all since we're not the sort who demand a lot of attention from each other. We don't get into each other's way and we have nothing to fight about. When we see each other again, it is like going on a first date. Ok, I'm exaggerating here but you get the point?
Maybe it is because of our age (hence, maturity), we're happy to conduct our daily lives separately knowing we're in a secure relationship. He knows that I have lots of things to attend to daily. I appreciate he needs the space to pursue his own interests as well. This kind of mutual understanding is important in a relationship like ours.
When I'm out walking Rusty in my estate, I imagine he could be walking Bobby at the same time, albeit in a different neighbourhood. Sometimes I do feel a tinge of envy when I see couples walking their dogs together but who knows if Rusty and Bobby can get along as well as CH and I right?
And who knows what CH's up to when I'm sound asleep in bed? Just the other night, I caught him shooting naked creatures in the dark, wearing nothing but a cape!

Blur, you've got the perfect relationship with CH! It's so good to be able to retain one's own space and one's friends without encroachment. It's like my mother: she loves company but frets when company descends on our home and doesn't know when to leave!
Btw yr love of writing n ability to write coherently n with speed n pizzaz shld be monetised. (yr friewith nd FF will think this isn't a good thing to say. But I'll say it anyway). Even if u don't need the money, think of all the things u cld do for others with it? Even in the process of monetisation, it doesn't mean yr writing/thoughts etc can't also do good... so Blur, do consider repackaging yr stuff and offer them to some audience?? ;)
Thank you Auntie Lucia. I have been paying attention to your advice and am working on it. Still a W.I.P. but really, I hope it will become a passive income for as long as I live!
You should do the same :-)
So coincident !! :)
Amazing photo of the bats :)
It's nice to be together and have space too. The most difficult balance in a relationship is to when to know to be close, and when to know to give space. You seem to have found that in your own way.
My hats off to you guys :D
Janice - Parkway is in between our houses, so we tend to go there quite often. But yah, such a coincidence!
Petunia - I must say it's a good thing he's quite comfortable with the arrangement though I'm sure we both would like to have more time together if we could.
Nick - Haha, I know you and wifey stick like glue :-)

My reply: perhaps! But think i won't go the passive income route as with so many rapid changes, who knows whether the passive income stream won't dry up or wot needs to be done to nurture the stream's smooth n continuous flow.
So m'thinks a more viable approach is to create something, then make a "killing" to individual buyers or a corporate -- for a price that's equivalent to abt 80% of the discounted value of that something... let the remaining 20% then come as passive income...
Just a thought for the week end!
Woah, AuntieLucia, you're good!
