and so are you!
Hallos Ting!
My place is now currently in renovation. I am just waiting to move in! Probably would be after Chinese New Year though.
I love plants too! I am hoping to practice my green fingers once again when I move to my own place. When I was in Germany, my apartment was filled with many different type of plants!
Maybe you can then share some tips for me. What type is more suitable for indoor in Singapore?
Hi Water, at home, I only plant outdoor plants. In the office, we have a hard time keeping the plants healthy becos of the aircon environment. I find that money plant is the best for air con environment. Other plants like African Violet and Gloxinia (both produce beautiful flowes) grow well too.
For the home (indoor without aircon), you should have more choices. as a guide, what I do when I visit the nurseries (I recommend World Farm at Bah Soon Pah Rd, near Khatib Camp), I choose their plants that are kept in the shady areas for indoor, and pick the ones that are out under the sun for my outdoor garden. The plants will not need to acclimatise when you bring them home.
Ting,
I have a bowl of Money plant and Bamboo plant on my working desk. The Money Plant was really "cultivated" by me. I snipped a few leaves from a pot of money plant and left them in water to grow roots. When the roots were long enough, I bought a bowl and pebbles for them. This money plant is nice nicely grown and healthy.
I should take a picture and show you :-)
