Off day

It's a public holiday here today... It's Deepavali, the most important date of the Hindu calendar. Also known as the Festival of Lights, it marks the defeat of the evil King Narakasura by the Lord Krishna. All round the world, Hindus celebrate this day as the triumph of light over darkness, and of good over evil. It marks the new beginning for Hindu devotees, and is a great time of rejoicing and renewal.
.
This morning, we received some goodies from our Indian staff who work in the farm. They're all dressed up and ready to visit the temple and get together with friends.
For us, it's an opportunity to sleep in, especially on another rainy morning like this. YK is still sound asleep at 10am after 3 tiring days at the school camp.

Well, I was trying to read the papers on this peaceful morning... until somebody stopped by...

Hey, wait! I can read the papers too!

This is getting boring. Yawn!

I'm falling asleep...

Maybe there's something in there that's more interesting..

Oh, world news... What else is new?

This is so darn boring, it puts me to sleep.
