It's fruiting season

Remember my big dragon fruit flowers? They've turned into fruits. I haven't eaten any of our own fruits yet but I heard they're sweet and juicy.

A friend gave me this longan fruit tree years ago. Though I fertilise it regularly, it remained stunted for the longest time. I often wonder if it is still alive. It began flowering recently and I saw bees buzzing around the blooms. Now there are 5 little longan fruits! Can you see them? Longan is one of my favourite fruits. I can't wait!

Our 'mulberry' tree has lots of little berries too. I don't know for sure if this is a real mulberry bush but I have seen people eating the ripened berries straight off our tree.

You know BT, I would give anything to have some fruit trees in my yard. But unfortunately, the darn yard is just too small and the only tree I have is a mango tree that has only urmmm, what do you call it? Bloomed? twice in its entire life!

Oh and I have an award that suits you perfectly :D

When I was a kid we had all kinds of fruit trees and other edible plants in our big garden, but we never appreciated them back then. We've had mango, jackfruit, lime, blackcurrant, banana, sugarcane, cucumber and wintermelon, mostly tended by our mother.
One year, the mango tree starting fruiting like crazy after years of being barren. We gave away mangoes by the bags-ful to everyone we knew, and when it still piled up, we started giving them to people passing by our house...

You can have fresh fruit everyday from your own garden. How fortunate :)

Water - Yes, I'm very lucky indeed!

Nick - At least you have a small yard! Nowadays you can grow really small fruit trees that can produce fruits. My longan plant is like 1m tall only.

CH - Your mum must have been a great gardener! So much mangoes? Our mango trees are all dying...

Janice - No lah. They don't bear fruits all the time. The only thing that we have constant supply is fresh limes. We have many lime plants, mostly given by customers during chinese new year.
