Lady Octopus

It has been a long day. We just got back from dinner at my parent's. SK is on his way home after spending the day at Sentosa with his friends.

It's one of those days where I find myself multitasking like an octopus. In between vacuuming the house, I was running in and out of the kitchen to check on the cookies in the oven and radish cake in the steamer. Did I mention that I also drove YK to a couple of fish farms?

Then I dragged all the rugs out to the patio for a good beating and sunning. It was another scorching day, great for drying clothes but too harsh for my plants. I gave the entire garden a good hose down, swept the patio, sorted out the laundry and went back in to mop the floor.

I made myself a cup of coffee while waiting for the cookies to cool on the rack before storing them away. I've baked enough cookies this month, I didn't even bother to taste any to see if they're up to standard. As you can imagine, I'm quite jaded by now. This will be my last batch for Chinese new year.

The Hong Kong style radish cake doesn't look very photogenic but it was delicious especially after the pieces had been panfried. I brought the entire tray back to my parent's place and everyone liked it. It tasted just like the ones served at dim sum restaurants. If you want the recipe, please feel free to ask me.

I'm going to call it a day. My friends are coming over for lunch tomorrow. I'm making chicken curry, so I'll be up early. Till then, good night.

Sometimes I feel stressed out just reading the things and tasks that you go through everyday you know. Really!

Maybe you should rename your blog ... Asia's Wonderwoman.
