My nieces will be going home today. Their mummy's coming back from her business trip. I never knew I will say this but Yay! Finally we all can get some rest!
Little Shrek has become very fussy at night. She wakes up in the wee hours of the morning, crying for attention which will wake her little 'mei mei' up as well. It's not unusual to see her nanny feeding mei mei milk while sleepy-eyed Ting sits there wailing. At 4am in the morning!
Dad tries to be helpful only to end up with an overactive toddler jumping on his bed. I woke up at 5.30am this morning to find mum, dad and Ting in the garden. Ting was singing "Twinkle twinkle little stars' at the top of her voice. Soon after that, she was running after Rusty, then chasing a frog. All the running around made her very hungry of course. So, at 6am, she was tucking into an omelette I made for her.
Oh, I'm so glad my kids are all grown up now. I can still remember those sleepless nights and listless mornings.
Well, you'll definitely find us sleeping in this weekend. Pity her parents though...

Hmmm, it's not as if she gets a lot of sugar in her diet. Certainly not at your house....
Yup, no sweets for her. Maybe she ate too much dried prunes (the only snack allowed!)
oh yeah i remember too! aly's 5 but she's past that non-sleeping stage now... i remember i prolly didnt get a full night's sleep for over a year!
Little Shrek ... LOL. what an apt name.
I remember very clearly the very first night I slept through was when YK turned 4 years old! Imagine, how many new lines we have added on our face during those years!
Oh, I can't even imagine it, Blur. Ugh! I would've been up for it even ten years ago, but NEVER now. Here's to catching up on some much needed shut-eye! :)
