Ting Ting's Meme

I'm doing a MeMe. You must know I have nothing interesting to write about today...
Stole this from Epimenides. Hope you don't mind Epi!

1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?
I'm Ting Ting. I think the bell rang when my parents were trying to name me.

2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?
I always laugh so much that I cry! If that doesn’t count, I must have cried while watching a local movie. I used to cry a lot when I was a little baby, even the folks who lived across the river could hear me. Once mum made some new friends at the market, after they found out where we lived, they told mum “Oh, so you must be the mother of the crying baby!” I’m famous!

3. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING?
I write very quickly, so my handwriting’s pretty lively but untidy. I quite like it actually.

4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT?
No lunch meat. I only eat oats and honey for lunch.

5. DO YOU HAVE KIDS?
Yup, 2 teenage boys.

6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU?
Why yes! I’m approachable, animated and make friends easily.

7. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT?
Mostly for fun, while flirting or teasing people. Sometimes on loved ones when I’m having PMS. They always miss it anyway... either they're too dense or I'm so bad at it.

8. WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP?
Not even if you pay me a million dollars. I’ll be too dead to claim my reward.

9. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL?
I love to look at the healthy organic cereals in the supermarkets. Looking at them makes me feel healthier already. I only eat cereals that are loaded with nuts, fruits and oat clusters inside. It has got to be yummy for me to eat it!

10. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE STRONG?
Yup, physically and mentally.

11. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM?
It’s a tough one. I have too many favourites. I can tell you what I dislike though... vanilla ice cream with streaks of sweet sticky jam inside.

12. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?
I see their face. From the face, you can tell if they’re kind, mean or easy to get along with. The physique too. You can tell if they take good care of their body.

13. WHAT IS THE LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF?
I’m too critical of myself. (and sometimes of others)

14. WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST?
Traveling to new places with my favourite pals, without a care in the world.

15. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU ATE?
Breakfast – coffee, steamed sweet potato and pumpkin that dad made. We’re health freaks here!

My last proper meal was dinner at a German restaurant last night. I had salmon steak with mashed potato and boiled vegetables. I pinched some of CH's farmers sausage with potato salad and saukeraut too. We had pumpkin soup and peach beer. Yummy!

16. FAVORITE SMELLS?
Freshly brewed coffee, baking smells, chicken curry when it’s being cooked, pandan leaf, the heady scent of flowers, baby shampoo, asian spices.

17. HAIR COLOR?
It’s a pretty unusual colour for an Asian. Dark brown with copperish highlights. Too bad, the lighter copperish parts are the first to turn grey.

18. FAVORITE FOOD?
Seafood, nuts, fruits and desserts. I usually scan the menu from the dessert page first.

19. SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS?
I love stories with happy endings. Life is scary enough.

20. LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED?
I usually watch movies with the kids or on the airplane. The last one was Harry Potter. Don’t ask me about the storyline cos it flies out of my head the moment I walk out of the cinema. I can watch the same movie twice without knowing if I have seen it before.

21. WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING?
Old faded blue singlet. Come on, I’m at home on a Saturday morning.

22. FAVORITE DESSERT?
Ice cream, cakes (not the sponge cakes with light whipped cream please. It’s got to be the really decadent ones), asian desserts... too many

23. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING NOW?
I’ve been trying to read Freakonomics during bedtime but it’s too heavy for me. I fall asleep very quickly.

24. FAVORITE SOUND?
Kids laughing (not my kids). I mean little kids’ childish giggles and laughter. So innocent.

25. DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT?
Don’t really think so. Maybe multi-tasking?

26. WHERE WERE YOU BORN?
In Singapore, Kadang Kerbau Hospital. At that time, just about everyone was born there.

27. WHAT TIME IS IT NOW?
What do you know? It’s 12.30pm on a Saturday. Half a day gone and I’m still in my PJs.

Kids laughing but quickly varify not your kids? That is so funny Ting :) Actually when YK/SK are playing together in harmony, their laughters and happiness are so contagious :)

Thanks for your approval Epi!

Yah, JY. I'll die of a heart attack!

RM, you're very brave. You can tie both my ankles to CH but I'll still die of heart attack!

MH - Yaahh, I'm glad you enjoy watching them laugh. I do too lah but when they get too boisterous, it grates on my nerves.

Seagrape - Heh, heh. I don't know about you but I'm so used to typing that I hardly write on paper anymore! I wonder if my writing still looks the same.
