It's lunch time!
I am working from home this afternoon. YK's best friend is here and guess what I cooked for the 3 hungry boys? Pasta with prawns, crab meat, fresh chilli and button mushroom, cooked with lots of garlic of course (but don't tell the boys). Can you see the little crab claws ... they're tiny but tasty.
Dessert is sweet and refreshing 'cheng tng' soup (dried longan, ginkgo nuts, red dates and white fungus) which I made early this morning.

The pasta looks good, unfortunately I can't eat prawns. Allergic to it. I'm actually gonna try my hand at frying Char Kuey Teow for the boys tomorrow, never done it before so hopefully all goes well tomorrow ... LOL!
darn... blur..it's ALWAYS about food... *whine* *whine* oh well.. it LOOKS lovely and if I were there..i'd be eating my share with the boys... and more.. :) :)

Oh the food looks soooooooo yummy! I can do two plates of those right now!
As usual, your food looks yummy! Although I am not a lover of prawns personally. There aren't many foods that I don't like, but prawns and olives are at the top of my list!
don't feel bad if i skip dessert----but i could sure eat my fill of the shrimp and crab stuff!!! just ask yankee. she knows , me and food are best of friends!
as for the dessert---even tho i am sure that by fungus, you mean mushrooms.. at least i hope so--- well.. i just can't see it.
but anyhow. maybe it's cuase i'm white. :))
american? is that more pC?
sorrry.
Caucasian American?
The boys loved the pasta so much, I have to make the SAME thing for lunch again today. Must be EXACTLY the same, YK said.
Soul - wood fungus grows on the bark of trees. They're the white frilly stuff you see in the soup. The round balls are longan (a kind of tropical fruit) while the red balls are red dates. The yellow ball is a ginkgo nut. It's a Chinese dessert, so it will appear strange to you. You may not like it...
the crab claws look so yummmyyy :)
