Wedding bell...

CHIJMES!

Wedding bell chimes! Get it? I'm corny when I'm happy. Well, I'm a happy friend of the bride and groom. It was a beautiful wedding. The bride looked divine, the food was good and everyone had a great time.

What's in the wardrobe? The traditional Korean wedding costume!

Isn't she beautiful?

All dressed up. Now she's ready for the photoshoot at Chijmes.

I love the old chapel at Chijmes. It's restored into an event hall for weddings and art shows. The wall murals, stained glass and plasterwork of the chapel are an art connoisseur's delight.

I love it so much, I need to show you another picture.

The main iron gate.

The chapel from a different perspective. The tall skyscraper in the background is Raffles City, where Swissotel and the highest restaurant in Singapore (on the 72nd floor) is situated.

We were blessed with cool weather after a downpour in the afternoon.

The photographers at work.

Chijmes' structure contains various other buildings of different shapes and architectures. The oldest house is Coleman’s house, which was built in the year 1840-41. The architecture is in gothic style with intricate plaster and glasswork. The Anglo-French architecture shows the European influence in Singapore’s art and architecture.

The Caldwell House within its premises is the oldest free-standing house in Singapore. Its courtyard, lawns, the forecourt, and water features are a throwback of the Covent Garden in London.

As one of Singapore’s premier wine and dine destinations, you can find restaurants boasting Turkish, Western, Continental, Italian, Chinese, South American, Tapas, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines, as well as wine bars, discos and pubs in Chijmes.

What stunning pictures (as usual), Blur. I have been away for awhile, but will be catching up with all of your posts over the weekend.

The bride was lovely, as was the venue. And who is that striking woman standing next to the bride...? Oh yeah, its the beautiful Blur herself! xoxo

CHIJMES looks so stunning in the pictures. Actually S'pore has plenty of nice wedding venues, like CHIJMES, like St Georges, like Santosa...
Oh boy, now I'm homesick! :)

Thanks Holly and Amel! You gals always have something nice to say but we must focus on the bride...

MH - I am beginning to appreciate the wonderful places around us. This awareness came about becos of the blog. While running in the CBD area today, I saw so many photo ops. Must return one sunday morning to shoot.
