It's 5am and I have been up for 30 minutes already. See, I have a V-Day date this morning. I'm going to meet Amy Lam, the thru-hiker who walked for 4 months on the 3,500km Appalachian Trail, for breakfast!
We have been in touch since the talk and she had suggested meeting up for a chat before she starts flying around the world again. Since she lives pretty near my office, what better way than to meet her on Valentine's Day morning. We'll have coffee, followed by a stroll along the beach if the weather permits.
I went to bed early last night and hence I am up earlier than usual. Maybe I am excited, that's why! I am going to surprise her with a small bouquet of flowers from my garden.
