A feast for the eyes

A perfect night. Where's Mother Hen? Hiding again!

If I were to rate last night's outing with CH, Mother Hen and her hubby, I would give it a perfect 10! We met up early at Swissôtel The Stamford, went shopping, took photographs of our skyline from the hotel, dined at Din Tai Fung Restaurant and drank at Long Bar in Raffles Hotel. What a wonderful night we had!

We went to Din Tai Fung for its signature dish - the xiao long bao (steamed pork dumplings) ...
...and ended up with a table full of food.

The finely sliced honey lotus root stuffed with glutinous rice was surprisingly good.

The fried dumplings stuffed with chives and pork was delicious!

The braised beef soup wasn't too bad, just not very photogenic.

The minced pork noodles was alright though we found the noodles a little too soggy.

Here are the photos taken from the top of the hotel.

The Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay with its distinctive dome-shaped roofs. The area across the bay is where our integrated resort is being built.

Singapore business district along the Singapore River.

Can you see the Singapore Flyer - world's largest observation wheel? Standing at 165m from the ground, the Flyer offers panoramic views of the Marina Bay, our island city and beyond.

Our city is lovely at night.

10 out of 10 for your pictures!

I love the night time ones! I think I went to that hotel when I was in Singapore?

So glad you all had a great evening. I wonder what Mother Hen looks like?!

Water - I must help her maintain her secrecy and keep the readers in suspense.

Hi Water - Thanks! I'm pretty sure you've been to the same hotel before. It's in the middle of our city. Our skyline is forever changing with so many new developments going on all year round. So you must return again to experience it.
