I woke up to the sounds of rain, a heavy downpour actually, at 3am in the morning. Poor Rusty was pacing about nervously but I was too tired to comfort him.
Good thing the rain had stopped when I got out of bed at 7am. I had wanted to walk to the market to get the papers and some fresh tofu. I try to cook something before leaving for work so that the boys will have hot food to eat for breakfast and lunch. Vegetable curry is on today's menu.
Rusty walked to the market with me. Some shop keepers were amused to see a dog at the wet market but to me it makes practical sense. He gets his walk while I get to buy stuff. In many places like Europe, dogs follow their owner everywhere, to the stores and restaurants, even onboard trains, but here in Singapore, not everyone is so tolerant. I try to be very careful when I'm out with Rusty so that we don't get in people's way.
Back home, I put chicken and carrot in a pot of water to boil. I fished out some boiled chicken for Rusty's breakfast before adding curry paste, fresh coconut milk, cabbage, french beans, potato, tofu and hard boiled eggs into the stock to make a pot of hot curry for the boys.
By the time I stepped out of the shower, the curry was ready and the boys had just woken up. I dropped some off at CH's place on the way to the office so he gets to enjoy some of the curry too.
I love it when everything goes according to plan. The dog has been walked and fed. The guys have food to eat and will not bother me all day. I can work in peace.

We are dog lovers and would hope very much for Singapore to be more dog-friendly but different story for folks sitting on the other side of the fence!
happy day! =)
You have a lucky day, everything went as planned.
For me, everything went 'haywired' !!
I din managed to bring the boys to swensen for lunch & Amos din get to enjoy his complimentary "firehouse sundae" (today is Amos' 3rd birthday)..... all bcos of the 1 for 1 lunch offer at the restaurant. Terribly LONG queue. *sigh*
This reminds me of an old saying from an old TV series, the A-Team.
'I love it when a plan comes together!' LOL!
