"I'm going out for meeting", I told my colleague as I walked out the office. I hope she didn't see the glint in my eye. If only she knew I had an appointment with a piece of equipment.
I drove home quickly, opened the door slowly and true enough, there was no one at home (Rusty's not counted). Great! I like it when nobody's around to disturb me.
I went into the storeroom and there it was, looking forlorn in the dark corner. I turned it on. It came to life instantly and started purring and whirling away. I put on some music and opened the windows to let the sun shine in.
Soon, I was working up a sweat as Rusty sat watching me. This always gives me a good workout. With the kids out of the way, I didn't have to worry about the racket we were creating.
It was over and done in 30 minutes and an immense wave of satisfaction washed over me as I surveyed the room. I really should sneak off and do this more often!
I settled down for a cup of coffee and crackers. The house is spotless again. I shall go back to the office now. But first, let me put that piece of equipment back in the storeroom. Yup, I'm talking about my vacuum cleaner.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.........!!!
it's the sense of accomplishment, is it? =)
Sorry, vacuum cleaner is on my hate list so can't share your excitement :-)
Oh I don't get much joy out of vacuuming nowadays, as I start to like my aerobic class despite I still move like C3PO!
No wonder the place was relatively free of Rusty's hair yesterday...
Hahahahaha and there I was rushing through the entire to find out just what kind of equipment you were talking about ...
:) I was wondering what it could be! At first I thought it was an exercise machine and that perhaps you were working out, aerobics I said?, or dancing lessons with a DVD perhaps? :)
Mooiness - Yah la, no life :-)
Fry - You can be your own boss too you know.
Huier - It's that wickedly happy feeling of sneaking away to do housework when you should be working in the office.
CKL - Actually I dislike dragging the vacuum cleaner around too, that's why it's chucked away in the corner of the store room. However, with dog fur flying around, it is by far the best way to clean the house. I wish there is an easier way.
MH - hehe, I'm trying to imagine...
CH - You should come the next day. All the fur came back with a vengeance!
Nick! what were you thinking!!!?
Wen - Heh, heh.
u are a soothsayer! hahaha......
yes, i'll be embarking on the road to the Dark Side soon! heh.
