There is nothing interesting to report today unless you wish to hear about me doing housework. The house was in a mess as a result of neglect, so the morning was spent cleaning and moping.
Finally the annoying little ants that are coming in droves to invade my room are gone. The best thing is, we can finally use the dining table again. For months, it has been piled with YK's books, notes, laptop and paraphernalia, we had to resort to eating at the coffee table.
I can become quite a fanatic when I get started on housework. Nothing in my way is spared. I even stripped the cushion covers for washing. Only trouble is, the weather surprised me with a sudden downpour while the cushions were out sunning in the patio, now the wet cushions are waiting in line to use the dryer which is already working overtime today. The comforter's in there now. The bedsheets will go in next. As you can imagine, I'm hovering over the dryer like a vulture.
CH has been under the weather the past two days, so we had a simple dinner at Katong last night. I picked the Old Hong Kong Restaurant thinking he could eat something plain like congee. As it turns out, his appetite was poor and it didn't really matter what I ordered.
I had a milky red bean drink served with crushed ice. The liberal use of evaporated milk made the drink super milky and milk is not exactly my favourite drink.

The shrimp dumplings and stock were full of flavour even though the restaurant doesn't use MSG. We ate up all the dumplings and wished they had put some green vegetables in there instead of just a sprinkling of shallots.
We wandered around the supermarket for a while and decided to head back to rest. Here's his dog Bobby who kept coming for cuddles while we were watching TV.
