Sunday morning run

We ran for 2 hours this cool Sunday morning. While I am thankful that the year-end weather is more forgiving, I find that it gets pretty mundane when we are running on our own for several hours, especially without the help of distance markers, water stations and peer pressure. Nonetheless there's nothing much to complain about really, for we had the beautiful scenery to keep us entertained...

C.H insisted that we must do our warm ups and stretching...yawn...

We took a 5-minute break under the coconut grove after 7km.

All that's left of the casuarina trees that were burnt down during the hot spell a couple of years back.

The attractive flowers of the Cannonball Tree mature into large spherical woody fruit 15-24 cm diameter, containing numerous (200-300) seeds.

A skiing enthusiast being pulled across the water by an overhead cable at the cable ski park.

The water-front apartments in the background are sought-after (expensive) properties on our land-scarce island.
A playful distraction at the park.

We ended our run at the hawker centre. Ah! Ice cold sugar cane and 100-Plus!

Sorry to hear about your flu. Hope you get well soon. I find the flu shot very effective. The last thing I want is to fall sick before a marathon!
