Crock rocks!

I came home to find that YK has already cooked rice. Seeing him with his plate of rice and chicken, I can't help but join him for an early dinner. The addition of potatoes, carrots and button mushrooms helps to make this a delicious and wholesome meal, so there is no need to add any more dishes.

The chicken pieces are so tender and juicy from 12 hours of slow cooking and the spuds are fluffy and fragrant. The best part is, there is no cleaning up to do. Just wash the dishes. That's all to it. Crock rocks!

Wah, ting.. you had inspired me again... the first thing I did when i read your post, i asked, "daddy, do we have a slow cooker??"

:P i wanna come out with something too!

Hi ting, you might like to look into getting a 'Thermo Pot' which is a lot more energy efficient than a crock pot. I use it for all my winter soups & stews - just chuck in all the ingredients, cook on stove to boil for 10 mins then it cooks itself for the remaining time - no external heat or electricity needed!

hhmm... maybe I should get one too :)

World - Yes, 12 hours becos I started cooking at 5.30am and only got home at 5.30pm. But I'm pretty sure loads of electricity has been used in the process.

Gischeryl - My mum uses the slow cooker to make soup only but in the West, they use it to make loads of other yummy stuff. I've been looking up recipes everyday!

CKL - I have seen this in departmental stores and now you've piqued my interest. I shall look into. Cooking without using too much gas or electricity is the best!

MH - You should. Or you can look into the thermal pot too.
