Boxing day

I brought mum to the hospital for the results of the MRI scan. Result shows that the situation is under control, and the tumour size hasn't changed during the past 3 months. She celebrated the good news by eating Five Star chicken rice for lunch. She had put herself on a strict diet since the treatment, avoiding food that she thinks will cause inflammation (like chicken, eggs, shellfish and crustacean) even though the doctors did not recommend it.

Anyway, what's important is the situation looks fine now except that she still feels unwell and weak. The doctor has taken her blood sample to check for her thyroid condition.

The roads are pretty quiet today though it's a working day. Maybe some offices close for Boxing Day... incidentally mum said the term 'boxing' came about because today's the day when people open up their presents. I was arguing that when you open presents, you're 'unboxing'... not boxing... oh, whatever!

Have a good boxing day everyone. I have no more boxes to open though.

Thanks Loz. It's important for her to hear from the doctor that the tumour has stopped growing because she keeps thinking that it is still growing. So it affects her mentally too. I hope from now on, she'll feel more rejuvenated.

Hooray to Mum's condition. With her positive mental well-being, she will find strength to triumph over the physical part. Have you heard about 'Lifestream Group'. They are packaged in pill-form to boost overall stamina, immune-system,antioxidant... They are sold in Guardian pharmacy (I think). e.g mix of cordycepts, ginsent, other chinese herbs. Cost about $70-80/box depending on the mix. Produced in Spore under Greenhouse condition. Anybody can consume as its for general well-being. You can check it out to boost up mum's health. My warmest regards...ML

Thanks ML. I just bought her ginseng/cordyceps from the TCM shop which they ground into powder. When this runs out, maybe I'll check out the one you're recommending.

I know what you mean about it being important for your mom to have heard that report from the doc. We can go a lot of scary places in our heads when we don't have definitive answers.

Thank heaven she had such wonderful reason to celebrate.

Hey BT, I'm glad to read that your moms results are in the positive ...

Hmmm, I've always wondered about how the term boxing day came about and I think you moms take on it sounds like the best one I've heard :D
