(More) Confessions

Michelle of Crow's Feet tagged me on this one. Well, it's almost Christmas and I have afew confessions to make. I swear I have confessed before on my blog but I have some new ones (don't we all?)...

1. I hate my room - I'm living in a bedroom that used to be the store. While I have cleared out as much as I possibly can, it is still too cluttered for my comfort. Plus I share the room with SK. I have said this too many times, I need more space!

2. Sometimes I look like I'm deep in thought but actually my mind is a complete blank. I know many people are envious because they are such worriers or thinkers.

3. I get over break-ups very quickly. Then again, I have never been dumped. After a break up, I don't brood or become suicidal. I simply move on. I hardly ever empathise with the other party or reminisce about good old times.

4. I am too soft and give in too easily (especially with the kids). I fail badly at showing 'tough love'.

5. I always look at the dessert menu first and wish I can eat dessert for main course. Luckily I have good discipline or else I'll become a big fat mama.

6. I do not enjoy attending big parties and social gatherings (except for those with good friends). I feel awkward and uneasy and wish I wasn't there.

7. I am very sensitive and get hurt by criticisms easily. I wish I have thicker skin but I have improved alot over the years.

8. I dislike noisy and crowded places. They drive me crazy.

9. I cannot tolerate whining no matter how cute the child or person is. Only puppies are allowed to whine because they are too cute.

10. I seldom make an effort to contact my friends. It's mostly the other way round.

11. I wish I had a little adorable daughter. Yet with my hectic schedule, I probably wouldn't be able to take very good care of her.

12. I have poor memory. I can hardly remember what movies I have watched or books I have read.

Phew. I feel better now after my confession. If you wish to unload, feel free to confess in my comment box. I promise to listen with all my heart.

Blur,

I find that we are similar in quite many ways. I would put down the following as well if I were to do this meme:

#2 - I can do the same contemplative look with actually nothing in my head also.

#3 - I am opposite. When I broke up with my first boyfriend, I took years to get over. Hee Hee!

#6 - I don't like social gatherings with people I am not comfortable. I would find excuses not to attend. Yups. I really only enjoy going out with that few very good friends where I don't have to be so awkard and watch what I say.

#7 - Yups. Under a "professional" front that I often have to put up at work, I am very sensitive and can dwell over the comments of other over days. This is something I hope to get rid of.

#8 - I dislike noisy places too. And you know what, I would consciously avoid the Great Singapore Sale because I can't take the crowd. Pushing and shoving and grabbing for those on sale items.

#10 - Me too.

#11 - I don't have kids. But if I ever had, I would love to have a daughter to doll her up by tying up her hair and dressing her in spaghetti strips.

:-)

Wah, we're similar in so many ways! :-)

#2- I used to drive my ex-husband up the wall whenever we fought. I would keep quiet and stare blanky (mind so blank). He could not believe I wasn't thinking of anything at all. But my mind was blank what! Ha ha!

#3 - Maybe I had never been so in love before...so I wasn't too affected with breakups.

hmm some interesting things.. i also found a lot in similarity with ya.... maybe we're related???

Ha ha, the 3 of us are long lost sisters!

Hey, Blur!

I also feel that it'd be hard for me to show "tough love". I'm pretty permissive, but I should learn to do it later on, eh?

I also get hurt easily by criticisms. I don't thrive on criticisms he he he...

I also don't enjoy big parties. Well, once in a blue moon it's fine, but not regularly. Esp. if I don't know almost everybody in the party. No, thankkkksss...

You dislike crowded places? Then you're gonna love my in-laws' place he he he he...away from civilization!!!!!!!!!!!

A very interesting and revealing post. And I too, can definitely relate to your answers.

I do love my bedroom, but it’s far too small! I’m back in my childhood bedroom and my wardrobe and belongings have out grown my room! I wish I had more space.

I’m often looking deep in thought, but usually I am in my own little world!

The break up thing, I’m exactly the same. I’m always 100 per cent sure if I split up with someone, and I never look back!

I am a big softy and often back down in arguments.

I can never resist taking a peep at the desserts! They always sound so good!

Social gatherings – I love being around my friends and people I know. But I am not the most confident person if I don’t know people and I am prone to huge fits of nervousness, and I wish I was else where.

I’m way too sensitive, and often take things to heart and wish I had thicker skin.

I’d love a daughter too. I can’t wait to be a mum. But I need a willing and suitable partner first!

I'm beginning to feel that I had made confessions on everyone's behalf too :-) Once we open up and share our insecuritie, we realise many others are just like us.

I bet 80% of the people who appear like they're enjoying themselves at a party are just faking it!! True?

WaterLearner said...

Exactly... I think no one enjoys being in company of strangers la. Just that not many are so transparently honest to own our insecurities lor. But hack.. we only live once. Why live with a mask?

Blur, I cant imagine that you are writing my confessions as well. All of what you wrote are also mine.... YAY !! Cheers :):)

Oh, I hate attending big parties or gatherings too. I'm not very fond on having to be around too many strangers for too long. I try to decline as much as possible whenever I'm invited to big gatherings ...

I'm constantly thinking... like, "oh the guy is cute", "oh I should eat an orange now", "oh he has nice eyes" blar blar blar :)
That's why I'm so busy body :)

Blur Ting said...

Well, it seems like most people dislike big parties, yet why are there always big parties around?

Blur Ting said...

Oooh, MH! Now I know what going on in your head! He he, I guess you mind is never blank like mine.

Hi Blur

These have been fun to read - I feel like I know you so much better now. :-)

I'm sorry you hate your bedroom. Could you maybe get some kind of shelf/room divider? That way you could make yourself a teeny bit of private space and get extra storage to put all the clutter on/in.

#2 - me too. :-P only my family know it so I don't get away with pretending I'm thinking. My dad calls it my "cat face". You know that blank cate STARE that cats do? lol

#7 and #8 I hate too. I hate shopping malls and supermarkets. :-(

#9 oh yes!!! Whiney kids are the worst, no wait! Whiney adults that sound just like big whiney kids are the worst.

#12 laughing here. Yeah, I naver remember the names of singers, songs, movies, books... Thank goodness for Google. I can put the teeny bit I do remember into a search and usually find the bits needed to fill the blank spots in my brain. ;-)

Blur Ting said...

Haha, Michelle, we're similar in many ways too. Well, I'm not surprised really cos we talked about the similarities before...

My room is lined on all sides with shelves, cupboards and table. I have given up moving things around. It doesn't solve the problem cos every inch is used up. But I'm not complaining...cos my parents are so good to let us live here :-) But it's confession time, so I used this opportunity to voice out!

I like that expression 'cat face'. :-)

These are amazing! Although I am a man I'd be quite chuffed to put on these using a night out as it'd look pretty awesome.
Still, I believe they'll be very well liked with females too. They can try some different colours or flashes and have more lively.

But maybe you could a little more in the way of content
so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?
