Lunch break

SK finished school at 10am this morning. So I picked him up and worked at home for several hours today. It's lunch hour. I made us some lunch here:

Since he had a late breakfast, I made him a light meal of porridge using rice, sliced fish and green vegetables. Doesn't look too tempting. I think mine is better.

Since I had the privilege of eating lunch at home today, I boiled two pieces of Japanese sweet potato. They're so fluffy, sweet and fragrant. They smell like sweet corn actually.

Soon we're heading back to the office where I'll continue working while SK will have math tuition in his study corner.

Sure enough, I was hungry again at 3pm. One can't live on sweet potato alone. So I had a slice of wholemeal bread drizzled with honey.

JY - of all the varieties, the Japanese one is the nicest! Those imported directly from Japan are really expensive, good thing we have some coming from Vietnam these days. Still nice.

Hi Soul! Good to see you around! I know how you guys bake them, here we usually steam or boil. I guess we don't use the oven here as much.

I wonder if the sweet potatoes there taste the same though. Gotta ask Motha.

Yah, I cook everyday, so I have to think of new dishes all the time. Sometimes I just mix everything together to create an unlikely dish. Yesterday I cooked chicken with chives and french beans which turned out quite ok.

I hope to see you around again and out fishing. Not sure about the weather in your area now though. It could be getting colder...?

World - Yah, you're right. So I have a loaf of bread around just in case my tummy rumbles.

Water - The good thing about this is that it tastes great hot or cold. I usually eat it before I run too. It's light, digestable and yet gives a good carbo load. Good choice!
