Cleanup and HortPark

What started out as a leisurely Saturday morning turned out to be quite hectic as the day progressed. I was still lolling in bed when CH smsed me at 8.30am to 'report' about the mangrove swamp cleanup. Some of the Miss Earth Singapore participants turned up in Uggs and designer wear. As it turns out, they didn't do too badly in the cleanup. You can read all about it here.

The motley cleanup crew.
It was supposed to be a relaxing morning with no agenda, so I decided to make pasta with minced meat for the boys instead of the usual seafood spaghetti. If they're not sick of eating it by now, I'm quite tired of cooking the same old thing every weekend. So, I minced pork, boiled some tomatoes and made everything from scratch. I had plenty of time... until something urgent came up on the workfront.

I rushed to the customer's office, got everything sorted out and went home quickly to bring YK to Vivocity for his movie marathon with his friends. By then, CH had finished his cleanup, so we met up and decided to drive to Holland Village for lunch.

We swung by the newly opened HortPark for a quick look-see. We didn't spend too much time there as we were both hungry, especially CH since he worked so hard in the morning. The char kway teow and laksa we had for lunch were so satisfying! Here are some photos of HortPark.

Haha, I qualify simply because I am frequently covered in earth while gardening.

It's cool that you guys have things like that going on. Over here, half the time it's 'see who can dirty the place more' LOL!
