The ultimate hotpot!

It has been raining so much lately, we were both craving for hotpot last Friday....and we found the ultimate one! This hotpot has 4 compartments, each housing a different soup stock. We chose the hot and sour Tom Yum soup (too strong for me), tongue-scorching mala soup (too spicy, impossible to drink and made me choke), chicken broth (mild and pleasant) and fish head soup (the best).
.
We helped ourselves to the buffet spread stocked with raw meat, seafood, vegetable and carbo but being small eaters (but of course), we ate a little bit of everything.
.
When I go back there again, I won't be so greedy. I'll pick the hotpot with 2 compartments and ask for chicken broth and fish head soup. I'll dunk all my favourite ingredients in and drink up every drop of soup.
.
Sometimes, less is more.

$15 per pax, regardless of 2 kinds of soup or 4 kinds.

Oh Amel, there's so much to eat here, you would need to stay for a month at least.

When my Thai colleague was here last week, there were so many places I wanted to bring him to but he had only 2 nights. So we had our famous seafood (chilli crab, cereal prawn, otah, sambal kang kong...) one night and Japanese food for dinner the next day.

It looks and sounds delicious!

You've just reminded me that it's lunch time here, and time to eat!

I hope it's stopped raining!

Oh World, it rained so heavily this afternoon. The rain comes and goes. It'll be dry season after February, so I must have more hotpot dinners before it gets too warm around here.

Ha ha Soul, I have American friends who freak out at the sight of fish heads too. The fish head here is cut up into small chunks, so it is not gruesome at all.

You can have the chicken broth one. It's very tasty too.

Well, it was 24 degrees for a high in Chicaog today, so every one of those soups is sounding mighty yummy!
