It has been raining so much lately, we were both craving for hotpot last Friday....and we found the ultimate one! This hotpot has 4 compartments, each housing a different soup stock. We chose the hot and sour Tom Yum soup (too strong for me), tongue-scorching mala soup (too spicy, impossible to drink and made me choke), chicken broth (mild and pleasant) and fish head soup (the best).
We helped ourselves to the buffet spread stocked with raw meat, seafood, vegetable and carbo but being small eaters (but of course), we ate a little bit of everything.
When I go back there again, I won't be so greedy. I'll pick the hotpot with 2 compartments and ask for chicken broth and fish head soup. I'll dunk all my favourite ingredients in and drink up every drop of soup.
Sometimes, less is more.
Wow .. looks delicious! How much to pay per pax?
$15 per pax, regardless of 2 kinds of soup or 4 kinds.
i'm an ardent fan of your blog! may i know the address of this hotpot place? :)
Hi Anon, this is at Novena Ville, opposite Novena Church. They have a branch in Beach Road too, opposite Shaw Towers.

Hey, $15 per pax isn't too expensive! I should visit Sgp when I come back to Indo he he he he he...
JY, did you have the shabu shabu? Hotpots are realy great during cold wintry weather. MMmm, Yum!
Oh Amel, there's so much to eat here, you would need to stay for a month at least.
When my Thai colleague was here last week, there were so many places I wanted to bring him to but he had only 2 nights. So we had our famous seafood (chilli crab, cereal prawn, otah, sambal kang kong...) one night and Japanese food for dinner the next day.
It looks and sounds delicious!
You've just reminded me that it's lunch time here, and time to eat!
I hope it's stopped raining!
it all sounded SO YUMMY-- til i hit fish head soup.. i still remember that smell as i rode the bus to work overseas.. sorry-- just not my thing.
i'll eat ALL the hot n sour tho.. hand it ovah.. :))
happy monday-- or tuesday-- or someday. :))
Oh World, it rained so heavily this afternoon. The rain comes and goes. It'll be dry season after February, so I must have more hotpot dinners before it gets too warm around here.
Ha ha Soul, I have American friends who freak out at the sight of fish heads too. The fish head here is cut up into small chunks, so it is not gruesome at all.
You can have the chicken broth one. It's very tasty too.
hi first time here, nice to meet you.
Ohhh.... I'm hungry! :)
A month??? Oh dear...I can't stay there for a month he he he he...UUUUHHHHH...I can't imagine how heavy I'll be after visiting all those nice restaurants MMMMMM...
I also think I'll be in trouble when I go back to Indo as I'll probably eat SO MUCH 'coz I don't know when I'll visit Indo again HE HE HE HE...Maybe I should have an exercise program, too, later on when I visit Indonesia...otherwise I'll have to buy new pants HA HA HA HA...
Hi Hazel, welcome to my blog :-)
MH - How nice it is to savour hotpot in Bend right now! Do you have one at home? Then again, does hubby like this?
Amel - I know, wear elastic pants! :-)
Well, it was 24 degrees for a high in Chicaog today, so every one of those soups is sounding mighty yummy!
Oh Holly, come to the tropics! I'll feed ya!
